The ride.....

One would think that based on my last blog description of the bus and all its indignities that it was a horrible ride. On the contrary, with the windows opened it let in a cool breeze, the ear splitting volume music was good, the crowded bus full with colorful people was a truly authentic experience. Bill could not get the smile off his face. He turned to me and said " I love this."it may me think of a saying I believe I made up "Traveling is leaving home behind, not taking it with you."
It took us three hours to reach San Ignacio where we were deposited in a makeshift bus stop. A taxi immediately propositioned us to take us to our hotel for 3.50. I said we just cross the country for 3.50. He laugh grabbed our bag and said you do not want to walk up that hill. He was right and we all had a good laugh.
