Pros:
Architecture of old hotel
Awesome views
Great wrap around porch
Friendly, helpful staff
The room was bigger than most NYC apartments
A/c worked great
TV has tons of cable stations, caught the Good Wife Sunday night, fell asleep on Dexter.
Small balcony
Decent food and booze
Walking trail right outside the door along the ocean
Very reasonable
Cons:
A little long in the tooth could use some sprucing up
Bathrooms need better way to get rid of mildew
WiFi iffy
Shower head lousy
Hot water takes long to come on.
All-in-All a good stoping off point for a few days in Belize.
Belize is not a city people hang out in. They come here and shove off to other places of interest. In and out kind of town. However, I will say everyone we met was polite, nice and had a warm smile and a hello throughout the day.
Bill and I I was told had their best suite. A penthouse room in a budget place is better than a run of the mill, no view room in an expensive hotel.
The hotel has a million dollar location for a budget price.
They’re back! You followed them across Scotland trekking through castle ruins, visiting stone circles and just plain stoned. It’s time to grab your Nook, snuggle your IPad, log on to your computer or just plain do nothing and let someone else read this nonsense to you. Just sit back and follow these lovable lunatics as they walk through the jungles of Central America searching for lost cities armed with only their kindles, a Panama hat, an iPad and a good bottle of Pinot....
