Cahal Pech Hotel Review

The Pros:

Very helpful, friendly and informative staff.
Great Tours and guides
Hooked up everything for us. I am sure it was more expensive but less hassle
Great view
Very relaxing
Awesome drinks
Good wifi
Ok food
Great bartender
2 pools & Jacuzzi
Colorful, fun town

Cons:

Cabanas can be noisy at night. Do not get one too far away as the walk is steep and it overlooks the town which has a stadium which can be noisy up to about midnight.
Construction going on. Avoid rooms near construction. I believe that would be the north side but ask.
Room lack some basic stuff especially for the price, such as clothes bar hanger, no drinking glass in room, no hook behind door to hand toilet bag, no towel rack, no small amounts of shampoo and no soap holder in shower to put soap. These are nickel and dime items especially they should have had if charging $150 a night IMO.
Crappy beds spreads that need overhaul.
World's worst towels.
A/c placed right about the bed instead of the opposite wall.
Furniture look like something from Goodwill store.
Room was overpriced

The final decision. If I was coming back with a woman and/or kids family, yes it is worth it. However, alone or with a buddy, I would pick something more budget, not as atmospheric but with the town right outside my door.
Also, note I did not go in a look at any other places, so keep that in mind when reading this review. I would like to check out more options if coming back.
