After the Jade factory we walked over to the Santo Domingo Hotel, ruins and museum. The five star hotel is built around and over an old Monastery. The combination of ruins with modern touches like gardens, tables and chairs and swimming pools gives it a unique feel of being comfortable in two worlds. This is much like Rome, and maybe other European Capitals. After the tour ended, we ate lunch at lunch at the Don Rodrigo on the recommendation of a new friend Victor, we made in the city center. He is a tour guide as well. During our delightful luck, a wedding was taking place so we shot a photo of the beautiful bride and happy groom.

The pre-Columbia art was placed along side modern glass work. It somehow came together in a way that brought to life the ancient artifacts.

Now which way do I go?

What is that strange thing my dear Father is holding in his hand? I have never seen him hold anything like that before...
